3 Bridges School of Yoga

“You are very special. Your legacy will be carried in the hearts of those whose lives you build by giving them the strength to face their own tomorrow unto victory.”
~Yogi Bhajan~

As yoga teachers we believe it is essential to remain open, humble, and committed
to the path of deeper study. One of our highest values is just that~ the commitment
to eternal studentship and continuing education.

Our passion and discipline for our own practices bring integrity and depth to our
teachings. It is through our ability to share our full-spectrum experience of
humanity with confidence, accessibility, and authenticity in the yoga room that we
inspire our students and hold space for alchemic integration of the body, mind, and
heart. If we or another yoga teacher has at one point inspired you to consider the
teaching path, join us! We are here to support your evolution with a variety of
incredible trainings to choose from.

Maha Mama 20 Hour.

Maha Mama, created by Krissy Shields, is a comprehensive prenatal yoga teacher training. Designed for yoga teachers, healthcare workers, doulas, moms-to- be, social workers and more, Maha Mama was created for the great need of serving the great mama through all stages of pregnancy and into the path of motherhood. Women are wildly powerful and in need of educated support during this time of sacred transition, which is why Krissy and all Maha Mama guest faculty offer a full scope of the perinatal period. You will be equipped with both an anatomical understanding and a spiritual appreciation to offer an intelligent, heart-filled practice for a class of all trimesters, private clients in all stages, and the one pregnant woman in your regular public yoga class. You’ll also receive tips to ease common issues, ample resources to draw from, and so much more!

We are thrilled to offer Maha Mama at 3BY to enhance and offer more meaningful support to our abundant community of parents, doulas, midwives, caregivers, and all those passionate about empowering, educating, and caring for women and mothers-to- be. Please note you do not need to be a yoga teacher to participate in this training ~ you need only be a human interested in empowering women through the birth process.

About Krissy, in her words:

My path was simple.  I immersed myself in the practices after I finally let go of years of destructive behaviors.  Yoga lifted me physically, mentally and spiritually to another playing field.  The shift was gradual but holding poses strengthened me, breathing deeper and slower calmed me, and a daily practice built my confidence.

My approach as a teacher is to make the practices accessible to you.

I teach everyone from the beginner to the experienced yogi. Also, one of my greatest passions is working with pregnant women through the most special time in their lives.

Postures, breathing and the subtler practices of yoga are a main focus.

While everyone is on a different path, I will guide you to your truth, to what will serve you in your life. Based on these core traditions, we will move at your level to attain your specific goals.
